After a good nights sleep in one of our lovely ensuite bedrooms, enjoy a delicious complimentary continental breakfast, which includes morning fresh pastries, breads and homemade jams, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses. During your stay our private garden is available for guests to relax with a book, perhaps take afternoon tea or enjoy your own picnic.

We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Complimentary, unlimited fibre WIFI is available in every room, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, undercover parking and an enclosed garden for your enjoyment.

Whether this is your first visit, or you have been a guest many times, we want your experience to be excellent. We are always available to help with any questions or concerns you may have. 

The Logis du Poirier and it’s estate appears in the Napoleonic Cadastral plan of 1834. It has a similar footprint to today, but it is clear that additional buildings have been added to fulfil the needs of the various owners.
We believe the tower is likely to date from the 16th century and in 1748 the Logis was owned by Marc René, Marquis de Montalembert, a very important character in the area.

Whether you’re a weary traveller or visiting the area on holiday there are a variety of excellent restaurants and bistro in the area, but if you would prefer to « stay home », we are able to offer a 3 course dinner with wine for your enjoyment. Additionally, on beautiful summer days we can serve afternoon tea with sparkling wine in the garden. 

The Office de Tourisme du Sud Charente is an excellent resource to discover places to visit and events in the area.  On our doorstep we have the ancient town of Angoulême, with its fantastic museum, excellent shops and of course the famous Circuit des Remparts event in September. Aubeterre Sur Dronne, with its rich history is a 10 minute drive and the unique Chateau de la Mercerie is only a short drive in Magnac-Lavelette-Villars.
